Missio and the ‘Red Box’ scheme

The ‘Red Box’ is over 75 years old!  The idea is to put a few coins aside after shopping; the coins are collected twice a year.

The funds collected in each diocese of England and Wales are sent directly to local bishops in the mission territories by the APF (The Association for the Propagation of the Faith) which is the official charity for the overseas mission of the church, and gives support in some of the busiest, poorest and most isolated places – in all 1,069 mission dioceses in the world.
