COST OF LIVING CRISIS

A message from our local Council:

As there is lots of concern regarding the Cost of Living crisis and being able to heat homes we want to keep everyone up to date with as much information about warm spaces as possible.

Funding

Hertfordshire Warm Spaces (hertscf.org.uk) – Hertfordshire Community Foundation are offering grants of up to £2,000 to groups who are able to provide a safe, warm space for local people.

Setting Up

There is lots of information on the internet about setting up warm spaces, but the website we have found that covers a lot of bases is CILIP, the library and information association. The information provided on their website is supported by Martin Lewis.

Locations

There are locations across the district and county that are opening their doors as warm spaces, not forgetting that libraries welcome all.

Communities First have a warm spaces directory on their website – useful to find out where your nearest warm space is.

If you are a warm space please register to help spread the news.
