100 Club News

Mary Soane was one of this month’s lucky winners of the 100 Club.

The renewal campaign for 2023 will begin soon and the new season starts in May. Keep eyes and ears peeled for communication from Marek or Helen. Don’t forget over half the money raised by the Club is returned to you in prizes, and the rest goes towards the parish funds!

It remains excellent value at £12 a year per share, and the more shares you buy the more chances you have to win!

Festive 100 Club Draw

The December draw for the 100 Club took place recently, which included a number of special prizes for Christmas.

Father Christian also received a cheque for £1,245 from Helen towards the parish funds.

One of the lucky winners!

Thank You!

Rachel and her team of parishioners would like to thank everyone who supported the recent cake sale. The fundraising went beyond expectations raising £1250 for the Bell Restoration Fund and the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis appeal.

It was quite a spread!

100 Club Finale

Fr Christian was presented with a cheque for £1050 from the St Ignatius 100 Club.
Maureen Brown was one of our lucky £100 bonus prize winners.
To mark the end of the year for the Club, an extra six £100 prizes were drawn.

Thank you to all our members for their support in the past year. To join for next year, if you haven’t already done so, complete the form online and send to stignatius100club@btinternet.com or contact Helen or Marek for details.

The Bell returns

The Bell came back to Sunbury on Thursday 5 May. A small crowd of parishioners gathered to see the refurbished bell hauled back up to its home.

A new clapper was made to replace the original that had been in place since 1897.

Traidcraft is back!

A Belated Welcome

The parish came together for its first post-Covid social gathering on Sunday to celebrate a year since Father Christian came to us as our parish priest. No time was lost catching up!

Many thanks to Rachel Candappa and her team that organised the refreshments and everything else that meant we all had a great time.

Table Tennis

The table tennis group have been playing together regularly in the Loyola Centre since 2009. All over 60, with the oldest 86. You don’t have to be a senior to join – its just how it is at the moment!

Coffee Returns

It’s great that coffee is available in the Manning Room after 9.30am Mass on Sundays once again. Many thanks to Charlie for the great job he does!

Thanks to everyone who helped on our gardening day!
