Fortescue Hall is a much valued asset, not only for our parish, but for the whole Letchworth community. We have a variety of classes and clubs running from Fortescue at present and the Hall is available for hire for parties and functions.
Deposit and Hire Fees
Hire fees are as follows:
weekdays for long term hire contracts and parishioners: 19 per hour
weekdays for one-off events: £22 per hour
weekend for parishioners: £23 per hour
weekend for organisations: £25 per hour
Full payment of the hire fee is due 28 days before the date of hire or immediately upon signing the
Hire Agreement if the hire period is within the next 28 days.
A deposit of £50 must be paid at the time of booking in cash or cheque. This is against damage or
loss or the need for additional cleaning.
The deposit will be returned within a week of the end of the hire period unless repair of any damage
or loss or additional cleaning of the hall is required.
The Parish Priest reserves the right to deduct the cost of repair of damage or loss from the deposit to
pay for any repairs or to replace any losses. If additional cleaning is required £25 will be deducted
from the deposit to pay for the cleaning.
Hall keys must be collected within Office Hours unless otherwise agreed at the moment of booking.
Office hours are: Monday, 9am to 2.30pm; Tuesday 9am to 2pm; Thursday, 9am to 2.30pm.
