A free, one-day conference, to be held on Saturday 12th November at All Saints Catholic College, St Charles Square, London W10 6EL
We would like to see a representative from each parish, at this event, which is also open to staff and volunteers from schools, SVP conferences and social action projects in the Diocese. Attendees can then share and use what they have learned for the benefit of their community.

Warm Space and a Warm Welcome.
Consider what you can do to support members of your community who might need a warm space due to high fuel bills – and a little community spirit. See our web page for ideas, or let us know if you have your own plans. To help you get started, we are offering a Warm Welcome Grant of up to £1,000 for your parish to support you in this endeavour (currently limited to 20 parishes on a first come first served basis), see our Caritas Grants page here.
Supermarket Vouchers will once again be on offer all parishes that would like to have them, to give to people experiencing financial difficulties. I will send another email with details of this, later in the month.
Community meals at schools and parishes with FoodCycle
We have been pleased with the response of parishes interested in partnering with FoodCycle to provide community meals. Any further interest, please contact Caritas Project Lead for Food, Niki Psarias nikipsarias@rcdow.org.uk . We have heard that FoodCycle are particularly interested in partnering with a community group in Brent.

Jon Cornwall, Director of Membership of the SVP for England and Wales, will share with us about their End of Life Companions project, run in partnership with the Art of Dying Well. The programme provides training, encouragement and guidance for SVP members and others, to feel better equipped to support people at the end of their Lives

Diocese of Westminster Love in Action Volunteering Awards
We are grateful to all those who nominated volunteers for awards. Invitations are being prepared for the awards ceremony on the evening of Thursday 17 November at Cathedral Hall. This will be a celebration of volunteering across the diocese and we are extending the invitation by enabling everyone to take part online, through a live-stream.
