Finance

The Group’s income, from the proceeds from Parish fundraising events and from parishioners directly, amounted to around £20,000 in each of 2017 and 2018.

Receipts are reported through the year in the Parish Newsletter and broadly quarterly financial reports are discussed at each Group meeting.

Events

The Group’s fundraising events such as the Quiz Night, Barn Dance, Open Garden, Golf Day, Wine Tasting and Opera Evening provide a significant source of income, as well as a great way to socialise within and thus strengthen the Parish community. Suggestions by parishioners for fundraising events would be most warmly received.

Green Boxes

Green Collection Boxes for the DWG were made available to parishioners in 2016, who were invited to take a box home and deposit their small change in them. DWG members themselves paid for the first set of boxes. Boxes are recalled once a year in January to be emptied, counted up and paid into the DWG account. However the Box Holder can hand them in before the annual count if they are full. Please contact DWG Treasurer Noel Whittle (noel.whittle@btinternet.com)  if this is necessary or if you would like a box.
