Parking
The church car park is private property. Parking is offered subject to the following terms and conditions.
- Parking is for Mass attendees during Mass times only. Vehicles may arrive up to 30 minutes prior Mass and must be removed from the property upon completion of the Mass.
- Outside of Mass times, parking is only for visitors to the parish office, presbytery and for those using the parish centre.
- Those who wish to use the car park regardless of the duration, outside of these provisions, must seek consent from the parish office / parish priest.
- Parking is only permitted within marked bays. Parking outside of marked bays is strictly prohibited. When all bays are occupied, vehicles must not park in unmarked areas. They must leave the car park.
- A bicycle stand is provided to the left side of the Church porch. Users are advised to use a sufficiently sturdy lock to affix their bicycles to the stand.
- All other two-wheelers (scooters, motorcycles, motorbikes, etc.) must be parked in the church car park – two vehicles to one bay.
- All vehicles parked on the parish premises (and their contents) will be at the owner’s risk. The parish is unable to provide any security or compensation for damage, theft or loss of vehicles parked on it’s property or injury/fatality to users of the parking premises.
- Parking is strictly prohibited in front of the gates to the school as these must be opened in case of emergency. It is also prohibited to park on or block access to the path leading in & out of the car park.
- Blocking or stopping on the entryway is prohibited. Passengers may alight inside the car park or alongside the pavement outside the church.
- On weekends and feast days, parking is made available on the premises of the St Marks Catholic School by the gracious management of the school. This is not parish property and users are reminded to follow signs and to park within marked bays only. Please refrain from blocking school doors and entrances & exits.
A sign on the wall at the end of the parking area stipulates the penalties applicable for non-compliance of the above terms and conditions. These may be applied to the school premises as well when parking is provided for church users.
