Flower Arrangers

Floral arrangements are often used around the altar and in front of statues in Catholic churches, to express joy and to remind us of God’s creation. The Catholic Church has guidance regarding their use, often with specific spiritual symbolism. The abundance and colour of floral arrangements may reflect the liturgical season such as Christmastide and Eastertide, or they may be used sparingly in Advent or not at all in Lent apart from Laetare Sunday, Solemnities and Feasts.

Our three parishes have a long tradition of providing wonderful floral displays for our churches. Our flower arrangers are friendly groups who always welcome new members and will help you learn if you are new to this type of ministry. They may also help with floral displays for weddings and other occasions by special arrangement.
