CAFOD are the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development. It is an international development charity who reach out to people living in poverty with practical help, whatever their religion or culture. CAFOD is the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales and part of Caritas International.

Through its global Church network, one of the largest in the world, CAFOD has the potential to reach everyone. And they campaign for global justice, so that every woman, man and child can live a full and dignified life.

In our parishes we have a number of volunteers who help promote the work of CAFOD, through ensuring publicity materials are displayed, and an annual presentation with an update on the work of the charity around the time of their annual fast days raising funds for their work.
