In early May 2025 Our Lady’s parish undertook some work on widening the entrance to the car park to allow for a safer space for pedestrians using our site. The work included the removal of an old outside toilet/ storage building that had not been use for many years, as well as an old tree stump and roots, and replacing it with a newly tarmacked and clearly lined entranceway. During this time we also relined the entire car park with new car park spaces and a clearer One Way System to also ensure everyone’s safety. This work was partly paid for my a £20,000 National Lottery Awards for All Grant, given to the parish in recognition of our site being used not just by parishioners, but by the wider community, such as the Sea Scouts, the U3A and the Three Rivers Community Café. We thank the National Lottery for this Grant which has made our site in Rickmansworth more accessible and safer for all who use it.
