A small group from our parishes joined Fr Andrew in Lourdes at the end of July with four of our young people acting as Red Cap helpers. It was a wonderful week led by Cardinal Vincent Nichols and a chance to see members from across the diocese answer the call of our Lady to go to this special shrine in procession. The International Mass and Blessed Sacrament and Torchlight Processions were particularly memorable, and a great reminder to us that our parishes are part of a much bigger universal Church. In the words of one pilgrim ‘we returned home tired but happy’!
