On Saturday 8th March our 8 Elect and candidates for full reception into the Church attended the diocesan Rite of Election at Westminster Cathedral. Our four Elect will be baptised at our Easter Vigil and the 4 candidates will receive Holy Communion and be Confirmed as Catholics. The Rite of Election is a time for the Cardinal and his auxiliary bishops and the diocese to welcome all those on this journey, and with over 500 from across the diocese stepping forward, the service was nearly two hours long!
It is a real joy for our parishes to have so many wonderful people stepping forward this year, and a real testament to the witness of our parishioners. Please keep all those on this journey in your prayers over the coming months.
