On Saturday 25th March Canon Stuart Wilson came to lead the parishes in a Retreat Day at St John’s Church, Mill End. The day consisted of two talks from Canon Stuart, a time of silence, Mass on the Solemnity of the Annunciation, and a Holy Hour with the opportunity for Confession. Canon Stuart particularly encouraged us to reflect on what we can learn from the Early Church, which he observed the modern Church is very much like, with lower numbers, less resources and increasingly standing out from current society as different. It was a very helpful day for all who attended and really helped us to get ready for Holy Week.
