Good news for St Lawrence Community in Zambia – They now have water!

This week we received an update video from Sister Angela in Zambia.

Drilling had already started on a bore hole to source water for the school population of 1490 pupils and  following a further donation sent via the parish this has now helped to fund the installation of water pipes and a tank.

See below for the video of the frame to the water tank being raised up all by hand!! The School now has water!

 

Heart-warming News from Zambia

On Friday 20th March Sr. Angela Mwale, the Headteacher of St. Lawrence’s Community School, Misisi, Zambia , wrote:

Dear People of God,
It has taken a long time for me to communicate with you. I was away for four weeks.
I returned last Saturday. I checked our account. The money was received. I thank you greatly.
We have installed everything. The school has water.
Thank you.

On Saturday 21st March a reply was sent on behalf of the parish to Sr. Angela:

Dear Sister Angela, We are delighted and thank God that at last you have water!! We pray that you and the children keep safe from the Coronavirus which is sweeping the world. Love and prayers
